Changing Education Paradigms

Chairman of Educor (Damelin etc), Leo Chetty recently played this clip to his leader meeting, which Greig Wegerle attended. Sir Ken Robinson’s RSA Animate highlights the need to be thinking differently… What a brilliant illustration of a fascinating subject.

We believe PX2 can facilitate this change of thinking…

PX2 Team Painting our “strategy wall” GREEN

Kent Gibbon’s addition to our PX2 team is proving fantastic – His idea to paint one of our office walls green with a chalk-board for strategizing and creativity is a visual representation of his benefit to us already.

For a full Bio of Kent, watch this space.

Sergeant Fu: Vuvuzela

by Anonymouson UncategorizedJuly 3rdhas no comments yet! »

One of our Facilitators, Matt Marinus, fronts a band called “Sergeant Fu”, who recently released this fantastic Single “Vuvuzela”.

“Vuvuzela” is a parody song that really pays tribute to the trumpet/horn/bugle-like instrument being blown at the Fifa World Cup Soccer matches.

So many people hate it. Others love it. One thing is for sure – It is now a legendary icon of South Africa, and a truly unique form of team support that stirs a “gees”, and rouses team spirit.

Racism SHOCKER

Disgusting, filthy, deadly, vicious – Racism is alive and well… in a new brand

This was a screenshot of an actual forum on Youtube.

This was a screenshot of an actual forum on Youtube.

After watching a very humorous piece on ‘ZANEWS’ about Julius Malema, I started following links to other Youtube videos regarding the ANC Youth League figure. I have to say that I was taken aback at the disgusting racism that I encountered – Whole videos of hatred and dogma. Attempts at indoctrinating and rallying like-minded or susceptible people into the throngs of hysteria-hate. And as the image above reveals, a lot of misguided and mindless hateful chatter is being strewn freely.

And it was from both white and black sources. In fact a lot of comments and forums were simply breeding grounds of hate-speech. It felt demonic in the bitterness and pain it envoked, like a poisonous ping-pong ball being batted back and forth.

And the worst thing for me is that all the authors of what I encountered (and there were many) are of the new generation – young people!! Perhaps I was ignorant in thinking that most of our racism is of the past; our forefathers of Apartheid and the like. But this new brand, while rooted in the venom of our Fathers was current, fresh and very inhumane to say the least.

I, for one, am simply not going to witness this atrocity and remain quiet – I see a land of unconditional love and equality and harmony in my, nay, OUR future. One where killing (whether physical or verbal) is no more. I see a majority rising to it’s rightful stature – A ‘mob of mindful love activists’.

Where does one start? Well, fortunately our government has in its history and foundation virtues and principles of tolerance, respect, diversity and the like. There is a remnant who refused then to be sucked into the mud of deplorable zenophobic hysteria. What a miracle that was! Let’s be the generation that reveals our gratefulness to the freedom fighters of old; one that picks up this noble baton and steadies a future for our children’s children!
